this thing does everything and hangs on a string if I need it to. I call it my plant shiv. I have no idea what it’s made from or where it came from. I use it constantly. the tip and both sides are sharp part way down and it’s pretty thick and strong.
What are the first two?? They look really neat!
I have an American scythe! It’s really great for clearing brushy overgrown weeds in lots of my yard. String trimmer just doesn’t hold up to some of those weeds and the kind with the spinning blade I find too scary.
For efficiency, I have rented a tractor with a brush clearing mower but in general I don’t have a tractor with a big mower and there are lots of places a big mower can’t get to, so I use the scythe.
The downside to mine is that the blade on mine is junk but I’m too cheap to get a new blade. It’s tough to sharpen and doesn’t keep it’s edge well.
Most prized tools:
-Rogue scuffle hoe. Many a weed has met its fate under the scuffle hoe.
-Meadow Creature broadfork. Breaks ground and keeps beds loose.
-Cider press.
You’re an older fossil than me. I should hang up your photo for inspiration when I feel puny.
good find! theyre good money now a days.
What are they? They’re not a corn sheller, or are they?
@KS_razerback looks like you were right! I looked up “little giant” and corn sheller and got a picture of those! nice!
