Not sure if this is anything, but I’ve noticed a growth at the base of the branches on my 2nd leaf nectaplum. There’s gumosis. It grew well last year and is blooming well and leafing out normal. Any ideas? Sunburn? I’m in zone 10a Southern California.
Just canker? If so, I don’t know if those act more like peaches or plums with it.
That last pic before the whole tree pic looks like a bark-colored bulge, though? If nectaplums can get black knot, I’d keep a close eye on that. You can catch black knot before it turns black if you are able to pay close attention. OTOH, it could be nothing, just the growth of the tree at that crotch.
Anyone else have any ideas on what this could be?
