I wonder what kinds of targeted ads you’d get after that search.
Chantrais melons, bunch split on the vine, but man were they good
Shishitos almost ready
Some Butternuts just hanging out
FIGS!
Can you hear me laughing?
I ordered a box of five or ten. There are beautifully made too. You’ll enjoy them.
Murky,
Can you provide a link for ordering this Buddha mold? Thanks.
Tom
If you don’t live in Washington state and you are patient, you can get them from here: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2pcs-Time-limited-New-Figure-One-layer-Universal-Artificial-Tree-Baby-Ginseng-Mold-Pear-Dedicated-Deformation/32328058578.html

Tom, what is in the staffing? I would like to make your dish with my vegetables.
We still have many tomatoes and the other veggies.
But the main thing is that we had our first ripe watermelon today for dinner. It is New queen F1. It was very juicy and not very sweet, since we had about 8 inches of rain two days ago.
A beauty, where did you get the seed?
The seeds are from Territorial seeds company, but I believe that they are sold in different places.
Antmary,
It’s equal part grounded pork and fish paste (from Asian grocery market), some chives, garlic and black pepper then season to your taste. Don’t forget some corn starch to bind things together. This combo stuffing can even be paired with your eggplant slice, tofu, jalapeno, etc.
Good Luck and Good Eating (sounds like Alton Brown from Food Network)
Tom
New Queen is one of my very favorite. Ifi I remember correctly it has nice crunchy seeds that aren’t fibrous or bitter and a good flavor and texture. It ripens early and are usually quite sweet.
I have three more watermelons to go and I hope they’ll be sweeter. But we still liked it very much.
This year, the only thing that I have abundant is bitter melons. Here’s some more pictures of it…
Don’t know the name but this variety is jade green and thick flesh
And this variety is almost pure white, thick flesh and less bitter
This one hangs close to ground
I did not know they were so huge! They are extremely visually interesting and would make a nice contrast to other vegetables in a bowl as a centerpiece. They look like an artist made creations of wax. I think they are both interesting and beautiful. Plus they are food. What more could you ask for?!
MuddyMess,
I never see them as “wax” but it’s an interesting way to see it. Now I come to agree with you that they do looks like wax art!
Tom
Beautiful. If only they weren’t bitter The first time I had bitter melon I thought I was being poisoned.
I didn’t like it when I was a child. It’s definitely an acquired taste!
