What’s your recommended insecticide? I’ve tried PureCrop 1 but I think I may have messed up timing or frequency because I still got the plum curculio and stink bugs pretty bad. Trying Surround next year. No brown rot or other diseases observed yet at least.

A large part of Portugal is eucalyptus forest, used for making toilet paper and for firewood. It’s non-native here, supports no wildlife at all, has almost no undergrowth, is extremely flammable, and creates big water shortages as it evaporates crazy amounts of water. When a eucalyptus forest burns down, the wood is still usable for toilet paper, but regardless of that the owner gets money as a compensation. This triggers land owners to set their eucalyptus farms on fire purposely. Everywhere you go, you see eucalyptus, and still in a rapid pace more remaining oak forests are being cut down to plant even more eucalyptus. After a few harvests the soil is depleted of all nutrients. This summer we had big fires that came dangerously close to our land. I can’t stand the smell of eucalyptus anymore.
