Most apple pears are either apple or pear but there are few interspecific hybrids of anything. The apple-pear singing tree sells is apple rootstock compatible because it is technically like an apple that ripens like a pear. There are other pear-apples that are really just asian pears. There are some trees that bridge the gap between apples and pears somewhat. Winter banana is somewhat compatible with pears the same as quince. They are not fully compatible and the graft may die over time even with an interstem. Not a great deal of research has been dome at this time on interspecific hybrids and what they are compatible with. I’m always open to a good experiment. @tonyOmahaz5 @39thparallel and I have done more than our fair share of experiments already Che, mulberry, osage orange, fig grafting
I’m not saying it can’t or hasn’t been done
Most interspecific pears are crosses between pears [PDF] A new interspecific pear cultivar Yutaka: highly resistant to the two major diseases scab and black spot on Asian pears | Semantic Scholar
There are exceptions that are said to be true apple pear crosses. Since they are both pome and closely related we know more work will be done.
We know where your going with it @dannytoro1 and i hope you succeed
