How is your weather? (Part 2)

Rain Monday nite/Tues here but other than that looks dry until next Friday. We were lucky here and only got a few inches of rain the past few days. Some areas of S Minnesota had nearly 10 inches.

Got caught in a brief downpour last night:

We needed the rain. But this was a nice bonus.

100 degrees and super humid here today. Too early for this hot. Water sprinklers are on for the fruit trees.

I just was looking in N Iowa and noticed some dewpoints above 80F. That is humid for Florida.

Light rain this morning, but clear skies now. Much lower humidity moving in. 50Fs tonite (very nice). Upper 70Fs tomorrow and rain back for Friday. The weekend looks great (high pressure). River is at 14 feet (flood stage is 12). Boat landings and bike trails are closed. Going to be awhile before it comes down.

Yep, it’ll be awhile. The Mississippi is really high at the Little Falls dam, and there is a whole bunch of water from further north headed this way yet

It’s been cool and showery all through spring here in BC. Super nice temperatures, though I think my figs and tomatoes wish it were a little hotter. Slightly dry of normal in the interior, but a huge improvement over last year in terms of moisture.

We’ll probably get a thunderstorm today and a few more showers over the next week, and then things seem to be trending toward classic dry summer weather.

The Mississippi has backed up the La Crosse River and is flooding the marsh. Trails are only passable if you are willing to swim.

Pretty good current on the main channel. If heading south you could make record time in a canoe.

Summer where are you? Cloudy, cool and windy all day. Sunday high temps in the low 70Fs. Frost possible in areas of MN/WI sunday night.

No frost in the forecast here, but it is supposed to be in the low 40s tomorrow night. A high of 75 on the 4th of July. My kind of summer so far

Nearly 1/2 inch of rain last night/this morning. More moving in. Rain Monday night. Rain possible 4th/5th. Just can’t string a stretch of warm summerish weather. We usually go up to lake Wazee by early July or even late June but not this year.

All local boat landings will be closed for at least another week. Good year to buy a boat.

1.25" here last night, and much higher totals north of me not far. Plenty more moisture to flow into creeks, streams, ditches, and ultimately the Mississippi…then down to you.

got another 1.5in coming tom. night into sun. then drying out for the 4th. rivers are still running a little high from the 3in. we got 3 days ago. before that it was very dry. everything is growing like crazy now and the trees stripped clean from the tent caterpillars 3 weeks ago are all leafing out again.

Hot all last week, but it’s much cooler now. Heat dried things out, so rain is welcome

Just picked up another inch or maybe more. This pattern needs to move somewhere else. River should come up a little more the next few days. It’s going to take awhile for it to really drop down to normal (about 5ft is normal/it should hit 14.5ft).

We got a weather station in 2020, Weatherflow Tempest. The all-time hottest temp it’s seen was 2 day ago.

Hot and dry here, our typical August-September weather we’ve had in June. Hopefully our typical June weather will pay a visit now, otherwise everything is going to be crunchy.

Feels like fall out there this morning. Tonite should be down around 50F. Rain next week is on tap. Looks very wet still.

That’s one way to end a drought…
