Not a good day in southern Mississippi. What I understand is we had two tornadoes go through my camp/orchard . Saw pictures of the RV park across the road from me all the pine trees are snapped off about 15 feet high . I of course, was not there My camp is not a substantial structure . So I have a feeling my orchard is gone and I know one shed got smashed Just hope it didn’t get my Tractor . I heard report that everyone was OK in the RV park I hope so. Someone told me my camp was still standing, but the large house right next to me was smashed it was up for sale so I know it was not occupied. Should be able to gain access to the property by tomorrow afternoon. The roads are pretty much blocked. I will go up tomorrow and pick up the pieces. I feel very blessed that I was not up there and I am praying for all in the community that our suffering physically and emotionally.
66F yesterday and just about blizzard conditions this afternoon. Roads are snow covered. Extended weather looks like garbage. Welcome to WI in March. Yuck. I understand why people snowbird for 6 months of the year.
Over the weekend only .35 inch rain here. Today mostly just some wind, too. No need to wear out the shovel. We could use some rain, but otherwise all is well. Just east of St. Paul.
70 yesterday, 26 tonight. Hope the trees don’t bloom before then…
Ugly looking line of storms last night, but thankfully nothing worse than rain and wind.
Highs of 80s lows of 60s, chance of rain every few days or so. 99% chance of rain tonight, supposed to be some thunderstorms. It looks like we are firmly in spring. I guess this past week was the last week with lows of 40s till next season.
Went to bed it was in the high 50s now it’s 37 hopefully no light frost oh well everything has been out of the GH for a while now. Wasn’t expecting this low, I think 48 was the forecasted low.
Very windy all night was blowing lots of dust, was in the 80’s yesterday, still windy this morning, already up to ~80° again. It’s been a abnormally dry spring so far this year, dry enough where everything we have planted so far needed water, but it’s still damp under the top 1 1/2" of soil even though it has been over 3 weeks since the last rain that did more than just settle the dust.
