How is your weather? (Part 2)

That’s sitting right on top of me.

Ugly weather week ahead for Kentucky. Severe storms and flooding galore.

We’ve had night lows in the low 50s for the last week or so. Some forecasts are calling for 31ish tomorrow night and we’ve had horrible winds all day with gusts up to 50

Quick noisy pinging of slightly larger than pea sized hail.

2nd round of hail that is a lot longer and still is going, making a terrible racket. Some of the hail this time was quarter size or ping pong. Dumb cows probably ran out of the freestall barn so they could get a nice pelting before running back in. Hail sure makes me worried for a while there if it would break any windows.

Pile of hail from what came off the eave.

Just some shattered bits that flung close to the door.

This storm should at least be a drought-buster

Got 4.75" of rain last night.

Sheesh. I hope all our fresh benchgrafts don’t rot because of this storm. 4 days of heavy rains seems like a lot for a stick in the mud to handle.

Unless the hole they are in isn’t holding water like a bowl, I think they’d be fine.

The site is very well drained down to about 6-8" then it’s pretty much hardpan. I didn’t plant in a hole that went “shhhhwick” when digging it out lol.

Hope everyone down south is safe tonight. It’s an ugly setup for multiple high end tornadoes. Lots of PDS warnings tonight.

Scorcher till next week. It has been highs of 90+ since Monday. Good news is that its humid enough we have clouds, so it hasn’t been that bad for the plants.

I got woke up about 1:30, it was pretty stormy and my wife wanted us to go down to the old house, (we live in a single wide). She said there was a tornado warning to our West but I didn’t see it on the radar. I was exhausted so I told her she could go down there if she wanted but I was going back to bed. I slept some, she came back up to the house around 3:00, I went back to sleep and the alarm clock woke me up 3 hours later.

Supposedly there was a tornado warning for our county about 4am, but all I recall getting was some really heavy rain, and it was windy, but not a lot of lightning or thunder.

We came in to work, road a couple miles from the house had water over it maybe 50ft, we drove thru because we figured it wasn’t washed out, just overflowing from the hillside. Got to work right at 7, I got about 3 hours sleep, she got maybe a couple.

It’s been raining since 2am, has just now let up some. Glad I got my mowing done Sunday. More storms forecast for tonight too.

It was pretty wicked in here in Pendleton. Shook the house. Lots of lightning, every flash you could see the veil of rain was thick, no more than a few feet of visibility. Took no damage, thanks be to God, but the battering was extremely intense for about 10 minutes. All that said I saw no uprooted trees, our road which usually has trees downed in storms had nothing on it in the morning blocking the way. This is all extra scary when you consider you put all your life savings and effort for three years into building a house, when you’ve never built one before.

Ours melted pretty quick yesterday. Lots of rain. The trees are going to pop so fast if we ever warm up.

Still a good amount on the ground here. Talked to a guy in Madison today. Sunny and 50s.

I’m hoping the snow will be gone by Sunday or Monday

Came a quarter inch hail storm here yesterday. Some were big around as a golf ball. Tinned my Methley plum tree but I’m thinking that it will be okay.

Tragically 2 deaths in the county from tornados one being a 16 year old girl as reported. Memphis area.
