How is your weather? (Part 2)

I’m so sorry about all the damage! What horrible luck with the lightening strike. The rain and humidity has been unprecedented.

Today and yesterday were amazing: normal humidity! Looks like we get two more (albeit with temps approaching 100,) and then the humidity/daily storms return.

I’m seeing some codling moth damage from the first flight. Apparently one cover spray on 28 June didn’t cover them all. I put out a new trap. Nothing Tue night. At least six Wed night. I’m declaring second biofix at 1225 GDDF along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

Yes! Yesterday was amazing weather- today is a little hot but breezy and I’m looking forward to getting out in the yard this afternoon after work.

Though I’m a bit happy about the (finally) dry weather so I can get my house back together, I now need to water the trees I planted this spring since they’re drying out too.

88F and humid again (gross). Had to go mow a lawn for someone. Should have brought a tractor. Pretty much had to mow twice. It can stop raining anytime here//but forecast says more rain Sat and gain Mon or Tues. Much cooler air is in forecast for next wed-fri --but not holding breath yet if that will pan out.

Real gullywasher yesterday. Brought the heat down and the humidity up. More rain for the next week.

We keep getting heavy rains here, but the drought index doesn’t drop.

The severe drought continues in our area. Most regions within our watershed district are at 10% or less of the average total precipitation for this time of year. There is no sign of it letting up.

The province has declared a state of emergency.

As these are the prairies, I would expect grains, and feed prices to be high this year. Canola and soybean should be better able to withstand the conditions.

Here’s to continuing to perfect my rain dance.

This high humidity every day is getting old. No relief this past week. Dewpoints seem to stick around 70F most of the time. Cooler air is showing up in the models starting Weds.

Bring on the Below!

We went to Lake Wazee yesterday (central Wisconsin lake/former iron mine). Water was a perfect temperature.

Hot humid again today. Storms tonite? Severe?

Today supposed to be the last of this heat wave

It has been an unusually cold July, coldest July in 75 years I have been told. Was under 50f in the morning for one week, which halted progress on some of our tomatoes.

We even had some rain and thunder.

Starting to warm back up now I think.

We had 60+ mph winds blow thru around midnite. Some trees down around the area. Not much rain out of it. Still warm’ish this morning. Waiting for the cooler air. Looks dry the next 7-10 days around here.

Supposed to get a lot of rain overnite tomorrrow

Just about an inch of rain here. Some intense downpours at times. Now we get Canadian wildfire smoke for the next 4 or 5 days==but at least it will be cooler/drier air.

yeah!

Canadian wildfire smoke is thick out there. I don’t think i can remember a summer when it has been this bad.

No swimming in Lake Michigan today. Dangerous rip currents and 5 foot waves.

The smoke here this summer has been terrible.

Smoke reaching all the way to Northern Illinois.

It is “sticky” out there… Dew Point of 76, sheesh.
