How is your weather? (Part 2)

Was thinking about your drought situation today, as some weather models are showing remnants of tropical storm Lorena wandering over your area. I imagine that would be helpful or maybe even too much water.

We have actually done pretty well this season so far, compared to some surounding areas. 1.01" in June, 2.84" in July, 1.57" in Aug. We could use much more but are grateful for what we have received. It would be nice if we could get the rain spread out over more days, so that it would do more good. We have had a few .5"+ days. They are nice but most runs off.
We are slowly improving the place. It will take a few years, but as we add spreader dams, get more grass, brush, and trees growing, along with responsible grazing (high intensity rotational grazing) we will be able to hold on to more is the rain we get.

We had our first frost about a week ago. Only thing it damaged was a few cucumber/squash leaves. High of 57 today and rain, rain, rain.

That is way too early the word frost. But our weather is cooler this year than normal year. Some wild tree leaves starting to turn yellow.

Looks like warmth is coming back. I figured we still had some summer left. Only benefit now is the shorter days usually keep the nights on the cooler side.

Rain. We need it!

Rain here this week, finally. The grass can sure use it.

52F out there this morning…legit feels like October. People wearing jackets and everything. Rain last night didn’t add up to much. Some trees are already showing yellow.

Patchy frost east of me again this morning. Forecast says we’ll have some tomorrow morning. We’ll cover tomatoes and peppers tonight I guess

I figured last night we would plummet but clouds or something kept temps up. Dropping only to 48F. I brought a few house plants inside figuring we might get into the upper 30Fs.

Those areas west and north/south of Duluth were right around freezing. Crane Lake was 30F. Hayward area station had 32F.

I’d guess somewhere on the Range there was a killing frost
