How is your weather? (Part 2)

Rain was sparse here. Still need more.

That Weds storm looks to get your area. Low pressure right over Chicago.

Do you ever go to Garfield Park Conservatory? Trying to plan a day trip down there but it’s a drive from here–although it’s all interstate driving. I’ve done Duluth and back in a day many times, but Chicago is further.

Just looked it up…Chicago has had about .4 inches of rain in September–La Crosse is at 2 inches.

Another 1.63 inches of rain this morning. Now above avg for Sept. This should all shift east and we should go dry after today for the next week.

Finally some good rain this week. Now to hope it doesn’t just all fall at once and run off…

Wettest day here since July 16th…just over 2 inches of rain.

8-14 still showing above norm for all of the N plains. When this thing goes back the other way–we’ll get a hard freeze.

Very dry end of summer in my area. A couple systems have passed through in the last couple weeks but missed us. We’re in our sixth week now without any real precip, and the long term forecast shows dry for at least another week.

We had an unusually wet summer up until it stopped raining in mid-August, which has prevented the current drought from being too damaging. Hopefully things change soon or mushroom hunting season will be ruined!

Rain,rain and rain!

Berthound Pass just west of Denver has had almost 4 inches of snow. Sitting at 29F right now. It helps that the elevation there is 11,300ft. I want to say this is the first snow of the season.

Very mild weather starting here. 70Fs and sunshine right thru the weekend. Model shows zero rain thru at least the next 10 days if not longer. Looks like another very dry stretch. Those that didn’t get this last rain are going to be pretty crusty.

Heard reported a foot of snow at 9000’ and above in Colorado. Specifically the Brainard Lake Rec area.

Chilly this morning but warmed to 81F. Extended is 75F to 80F everyday and 50Fs at night. Fall is going to be very short this year i think. The more we get into October the bigger the plunge will be when it does flip.

70s and 80s for highs all the way into October. Too warm for me to make cider. Yellow jackets would be out of control

Drought is back. The rain last weekend was totally insufficient, and no more in sight. I’ll have to water the trees for the winter.

The GFS really has no rain for the Chicago area in the next 15 days. Models are incorrect often, but the trend appears dry–very dry.

We got that this morning. Warm, humid air too. I was surprised when I opened the door and it was warmer outside than in.

i heard long island/nj/ maybe carolinas is getting 2 hurricanes at once. thrilling. maybe an arborist will finally be able to get me 20 yards of wood chip so i can get rid of the grass in my rubus patch and fill the bottom half of my new beds

It doesn’t move very far north. High pressure blocks it so the system dies out. I’d be worried about flooding down there.

That tropical storms doesn’t come inland anymore on euro/gfs. Just sits offshore and spins. Looks way less of an issue.

GFS starting to hint at a first freeze.

Hurricane might have brought some rain.

Your area looks like rain maybe a week from mon/tues. A “cold” shot will bring maybe a night or 2 of 30Fs and back to mildness.
