I’m not sure I originally thought they were poop seems to have a trail leading to him. Definitely not blackberries

I think this is your grape leaf gall…

Thanks. Yeah, the description matches the things on the leaf. Wow, I got leaf gall now besides the cane gall, and blistered mites! Adding a new bug into the yard every year😠

I’d like to give some of those mites blisters.

You are right, blister mites is on pears. Forgot what that insect is called who makes bumps on grape leaf🤔

That’s a caterpillar of the Checkered-fringe/ Morning-glory Prominent Moth (Schizura ipomaeae). That’s definitely caterpillar poop stuck to it’s back. Maybe there was another caterpillar feeding above it, chucking down poop grenades at it’s sibling.

It looks like Grape leaves are on their menu too.

Notice these today on my Moonglow pears on two branches lower to the ground. Any information what it is and what need to be done ?

Black objects on prominent caterpillar above are too regular to be random frass from a nearby caterpillar. More likely a parasite egg mass.

Could someone identify what sort of bug eats these craters in apricots? Thanks.

My guess is bird, not bug.

That little guy in the corner of the crater really seemed to be munching on it but I agree the size difference makes me question that. What bug is that?

Yah blister mites make white spots on grape leaves. The bumps you may be thinking of are from aerial phylloxera.

Leaf-footed Bug nymph (Acanthocephala terminalis) at it’s 2nd instar or nymphal phase

Cool find! Love the metallic blue look that they have at that phase.

What is this? I’ve found it on the base of one of my blackberry plants and these pictures are of it on the stem and around my boysenberry plant
