I have not been able to continue with growing fruits. This forum has been great.
All my trees, plants are all gone. Five acres are empty. Property will be put on the market next year. Hopefully this forum continues to grow, why not!!!, great bunch of people.
I’m really sorry to hear that. You have been a wonderful and interesting member of our forum for many years. I wish you all the best in whatever life brings your way going forward.
Bob
Wish you the very best. If possible, please drop in once in a while to let us know how you are doing.
Tippy your sions are still doing well, inground haven’t had chance to see if they had fruit, this year the same for Tony’s sions. They are all medium beautiful trees. All inground trees are doing well so far.
They all perform well, this year I haven’t been able to see if they carry any fruit!
We wish very good things for you! It has been very nice to have you on the forum.
Clark, good luck with your big big project and thanks for the wishes.
Well wishes for you in the coming years. Sorry to hear you are not able to continue to grow fruits. I hope you find a place that will suit your needs in the future.
Merry Christmas Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!!
Sorry to hear you’ve had some challenges Bob. I wish you the best and as Tippy says please stop by once if you can.
I always enjoyed your posts and was amazed at all the citrus and figs you kept going in containers. Best wishes with your health. We’ll miss you around here.
Thank you! My project is going very well. I have friends , family , and neighbors pitching in on some of the project. I hire locally as well to fuel the economy with some more money. It’s a big project and i sure would appreciate some good feedback from you time to time if you are feeling up to it. We greatly appreciate all your contributions to the forum. The youngest members of this forum count on all of us to help them get started with the valuable information you and many others have provided them. I’m not sure if you saw them, but i wanted to share this photo of some of my bobcats from the place. It makes me satisfied to know this generation of wildcats can live in peace. That is something they have not had on that property in many years. There is something i find very cute about her and her cubs.
awwwwww!!!
so sorry, I wish you the best in the future
@aap
Bob, I’ve always appreciated your posts. Hopefully, you will be able to stabilize your health. If the garden gets too much, at least keep doing something, even if its crossword puzzles or card games. Please stay on here though. You have a lot of experience to share even if you’re not growing anything currently.
I appreciate your incurisment! I will try! This forum has so many great members, it’s moving at a decent clip!!!
Love those hot pepper seeds you send me, they did great. I was going to ask for some more but I didn’t want to press my luck!!!
Once a gardener, always a gardener!
Best wishes for all the challenges the coming years may bring.
Well you know I’ll send you some anytime you ask!
Maybe you can find some space for a nice little light setup and some micro tomatoes and smaller peppers. I’ve enjoyed growing them over the winters a few times.
Can’t do it anymore, as much as I love to do it.
Wanted to add my thanks to you, Bob, for your advice a couple of years back about growing citrus in containers. Eating from the first crop of the Meyer lemon tree in my greenhouse now, and waiting for the Cara Cara orange to fruit. I have asked my kids to pitch on a Christmas gift for me of Pixie and Kishu dwarf mandarin trees. Those four citrus trees will max out my small attached greenhouse!
Bravo for giving bobcats sanctuary!
Thank you very much, great to hear about your success with citrus. I enjoy growing them, such a rewarding venture especially when I was able to collect fancy varieties from members everywhere in the USA.
Most of the sions are grafted on Flying Dragon to keep them small and manageable.
