In Palmela is awful, but the great fires of 2017 were a nightmare. I hope we never witness nothing like that again

. all the eucaliptus forest (used in the past for the paper industry) should be taken down and replaced for native forest (eucaliptus is from Oceania/Australia)
We have way to much eucaliptus in our forest. Waay too much… nothing else grows there, wildlife, native trees, etc

Just for comparison, Lisbon PT and Oakland CA are at the same latitude. The ocean temperatures are different however due to the current that runs south from Alaska.
Well @Luisport , it is still my dream to visit you and your industrious orchard, along with several landscapes in your country. It would require two all-day transits which I’d separate with a few days of stop-over. I’ve even toyed with adding a third day of transit and stopping over in Iceland for a week. But for now all air travel is on hold until some super-vaccine becomes available.
