Have you looked into the GRIN records for hybrids at that site?

Perhaps contact the actual University of Minnesota to see if such a fruit was actually developed there.

Interesting. I’m going to have to friend him. Richard has some unicorns. I emailed one of the directors of the MN breeding program. It really doesn’t seem the profile of “crisp” apples they breed, but who knows?

I received my scions from Singing Tree today. On the receipt it indicates that his Pear-Apple Cross “may just be an odd apple.” No additional information was provided as to the origin.

I did receive a reply to my inquiry at the University of Minnesota. They do not know anything about it.
