Hmm, that sounds like something completely different from mine. I guess that there are two separate things going on.
Can we get a
along with
?
It stopped jumping down on the thread when I turn my phone back on, so it’s working now.
Jumping two lines when hitting return is a common default in a lot of word processing code these days.
Shift/Enter will reduce it to one as well without changing anything else in virtually all of them, which I did here.
I did not do it here.
this one im not interested in, just invites meanness.
I only use a phone and for it, the shift key doesn’t affect that button even when I turn the setting back.
Meanie didn’t come to mind.
I love this site and will gladly contribute cash when the time calls.
Some of the better posts have hundreds of responses. Is there a way to jump from top to bottom?
Or go from post 1 to say post 475?
On my android at least, the slide bar will not drag to say halfway up, and it is very cumbersome to backspace up.
Thank you
Yep, Supermium works with Windows 7! Thanks, Scott, for bringing this to my attention - I had never heard of it before. Back to being a happy camper on GrowingFruit.

The little rectangle in the lower right corner shows where you are and if you touch it you can select with a slider where to go to. This is on iPhone but it should be similar on Android.
I looked into this and there don’t seem to be any other bug reports on this. I think it might be related to when you go back it gets confused about what images were loaded and mis-calculates where it thinks you were. It could be that it only happens in old threads you have not read since the recent update. It also doesn’t seem to be an issue in all browsers as I’m not seeing it at all for example. The way that it seems to have fixed itself for @KS_razerback also means there might be some cached information which is stale.
My suggestion is we see how it’s working in a week. Re-start your browser and/or computer and see if that helps as well. If it keeps happening we can collect details and file a bug report.
Thank you, by this morning that issue had resolved itself.
The way that I do that is to look down at the bottom right corner of the page and see what the latest post number is:
I don’t know what it looks like on a phone, but if you can see the dates/hours (off to the right on a computer) clicking those will take you to top/ bottom. I am assuming the page up/down and home options do not exist on a phone b/c I don’t recall ever seeing those buttons on any of the “keyboards” I’ve bumped into.
On the iPhone if you touch that rectangle in the lower right (the “66/73” in the picture) you get a slider appearing and I can select wherever I want to go by where I touch or drag the slider to.
There is still some lag in the notification bubbles - both sorts.
For instance, it will often notify me there is a new comment when the new comment is my own. And, it will often show my little bubble as the last comment in the list for a few minutes after someone else has posted. It catches up relatively quickly, but if I make a comment and then log out, it will trap my comment in the new comment filter until I log in again and find out there wasn’t really a new comment.
I suspect this is one of those things that will self resolve as the new server continues to catch up indexing the wealth of imported data received from the previous setup.
That’s a neat feature that I didn’t know about! Thank you for sharing it, I found that the Android OS supports it as well.
I’m using firefox today and it looks great, thank you for all this work you do!!
Well, just noticed my ios15 is suddenly “unsupported”. Not all of us can upgrade to the latest and greatest iphone. Is this problem permanent?
