A nice warm up today and I saw the first snake of the year out getting some sun. A racer I think?

I went for a walk this morning and saw half a dozen of these cuties on the hill above our house.

This is Buzby. He comes and hangs out in the yard with me every day for about thirty minutes. Sometime if I don’t come outside he comes to the patio door and looks in.

This is George shorty after I rescued him. He was in my garden and abandoned by his mom. I rescued him and found him a home on a farm. He’s four years old now and I’m told he gets to come in sometimes.

We had a pet opossum years ago. Mama was road killed, as we’re all the other siblings. There was a bunch of them.

Took it home. Some of my favorite pics of my daughter’s were of it riding around on on their head hanging on to their hair. He was quite content to be there.

Nice Pic.

Found 5 kittens in my front bush today. 3 blacks and 2 mix colors. The neighbor’s kid, she went to play with them. It’s already night fall and she refuse to go home. She call it her club house now and begin naming one of them. Logic doesn’t work with her. Told her, they still be there tomorrow and she can came play with them tomorrow. Even her mom got turn down as she refuse to go home. She told her mom, another 100 minutes, but the sun already gone down. Grandma came out to yell at her to go back home.

I seem to mostly post owls on this thread. Here’s a shot of a young great horned owl. This is likely one of the 2025 nestlings from a previous post. This was taken close to that nesting area.
