Wildlife in our gardens

I was working in the garden and heard some commotion near the birdhouse. Apparently the parent birds were trying to scare away a black snake. I let nature take its course…I also help a next door neighbor relocate 5 bunnies from her raised bed to a bush 3-4 ft away.

Snakes are busy here as well. I’ve seen my resident black rat snake around a few times and this big garter snake found something he liked in my lotus tub.

Wow, I’m amazed you have resident snakes on your lot. I’ve never seen one in the neighborhood and as much as I have a legit phobia, I wish we had one to manage the vermin.

the smallest bird today. he ran around the tree yelling then caught something i think.

it looks like it and we have loads of the catfaces that look like that.

i put out a hummingbird feeder and have not seen a single one lol

Yes, they were on a peach tree. I just happened to catch them on their birthday.
