Can i have you nick name on facebook, i will add you?

Hi, I had tried to purchase this exact plant from the Thailand seller, but it was destroyed by CA, USA customs. Did you have to get an import permit to purchase? Did you need a phytosanitary certificate in your case? Thanks

The scion is offered by CCPP. You can buy any Mandarin from HomeDepot and try grafting on it. Trying to get citrus plant from Asia into California would most likely end up in a hefty fine at the best and legal action at the worst. I’d say you got lucky! More info on fruitmentor YouTube channel (he also has nice demos of citrus grafting with disease free bud wood from CCPP) - https://youtu.be/OE34G80tcOM

Please don’t illegally bring citrus into CA. it is one of the last places without the greening disease. Or atleast substantial amount of it.

Hi! I’m so sorry for that. You can hask for a refund.
I’m from Portugal and i didn’t get any problems

Does anyone know where I can get a Sumo Mandarin tree or Dekopon Mandarin tree or Shiranui Mandarin tree in Southern California? I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I’d be grateful for help.

Did you ever end up getting a Dekopon (aka Sumo aka Shiranui) tree? I’m trying to find one or two.

You can get budwood from CCPP and graft to any citrus tree in your yard.

No. I ordered it from the only seller for the variegated version on eBay…which user Luisport successfully got from the same seller. I didn’t. I’m in California and they destroyed my tree Bc I didn’t have an import document and they didn’t have a phytosanitary certificate. User Luisport is in another country; seems they don’t have those restrictions. I got lucky eating a sumo mandarin, its one seed germinated after I left it in a plastic container while it was wet. And it was polyembryonic; had 4 seedlings; one perished so far. It will take years to get it full grown if I’m lucky. I did see some on sale or on waitlist a few months ago, not now. Best of luck to you.

Californians - It looks like I found a Shiranui mandarin tree. They are shipping me two of them. $74.99 plus shipping, for 5 gallon containers. Pricy compared to a Washington Navel at Home Depot, but understandable pricing considering current demand and the rarity of available Shiranui trees to non-growers in California.
