I don’t see Fast Growing Trees on the list. Any knowledge of them?

They are very very expensive. Not many good varieties from what I’ve seen on their site, but they pay a ton of money to advertise their products to me all over Facebook and Google.

I bought my first two fruit trees from Fast Growing Trees because it was late in the season and they still had a lot of multi grafted varieties I wanted. You will pay a huge premium but they ship fast. Side note someone who lives near me bought from them at the same time. They accidentally switched the shipping labels on our box’s. Fast Growing Trees was able to get UPS to pickup and redeliver both packages the same night. I’d save them for last resort just due to price.

I think they have too many negatives on Garden Watchdog.

Does anyone know what nurseries are good for buying hops other than plugs from Fruitwood? They are great but currently mostly out of stock. I know I’d found one other awhile ago but can’t remember which it was. This could be added to the list once found.

What do the purple numbers mean next to each nursery?

It is how many times the link was clicked on.

By plugs do you mean rhizomes? OGW only offers rhizomes but Raintree has some in 4” pots that are available.

If you are willing to go with rhizomes I’d suggest looking at home brewing sites as they are significantly cheaper. I got mine through https://homebrewing.org/. I didn’t have 100% success with my order (3 out of 4 grew) but they have a warranty on them. It took an extra year to get that fourth one but it all worked out in the end

I guess in this instance they’re the same thing? The ones I bought at Fruitwood were literally plugs with a little dirt. It seems like those offering rhizomes are about the same prices.

I checked Fruitwood’s website. They label them as divisions so I would guess it’s a rhizome. Did they give any planting instructions along the lines of looking for some nodes (future roots) and point them down? Their prices are similar to the home brew site I used; both were much more reasonable that what OGW listed their rhizomes at

There was definitely above ground vegetative growth on each of the fruitwood plants because they put their labels on each plant. This wouldn’t really affect my decision to buy, it just seems like you have a more surefire live plant that way. Regardless, thanks for checking.

Anybody who is gullible enough to click the first link on google search and buy a tree for $120+ is obviously very poorly informed and have very little understanding of what they are doing. People on this forum know better.

I ordered Cascade and Mt Hood from https://superseeds.com and was very pleased with them. It looks like they may still be in stock.

That’s why I asked in this forum. Since I’m a newbie and all.

They were the only tree still out there for sale with the multi grafts I wanted.

Shipping charges can make even reasonably priced trees outrageously expensive.

Hey I wanted to put in a plug for Mehrabyan Nursery … I ordered from them for the first time this year and I got a very happy Green Gage plum tree from them… it had great roots and has taken off quickly. They still have quite a few apple varieties left, one of the few places with inventory of heirloom apples.
